Full-flow Oil Filter Structural Composition

• Housing: Usually made of metal, it has sufficient strength and sealing performance to withstand the pressure of the oil and prevent oil leakage. The housing is generally equipped with an oil inlet and an oil outlet, which are respectively connected to the oil pump and the main oil gallery.
• Filter Element: It is the core component of the full-flow oil filter, made of materials such as filter paper, fibers, and metal meshes. The filtering accuracy and dirt-holding capacity of the filter element directly affect the performance of the filter. The common filtering accuracy is between 10 and 30 microns.
• Bypass Valve: Composed of a valve, a spring, a valve seat, etc. When the oil inlet pressure of the oil filter reaches the opening pressure of the bypass valve, the valve opens, allowing the oil to bypass the filter element and directly enter the main oil gallery.
• Sealing Ring: Installed at each interface of the filter, it is used to ensure the sealed connection between the filter and the oil pump, the main oil gallery, etc., and prevent oil leakage.

APPLICATION SCENARIO

The Alfa Laval Moatti Filter is designed for full-flow filtration of lubricating oils used in engines that burn all types of fuels. Installed as close to the engine as possible to prevent harmful particles, in the oil, from entering the engine.
